Calming Waters

Calming waters lap at the ever changing shore,
tragedies of life erased, to become no more.
Gentle breeze blows music through the trees,
notes carried on the wings of the bumblebees.
Warming light falls upon the painting that is life,
colors that dance, twirl and shines so bright.
Cleansing water now falls from the darkening blue sky,
smell of newness carried on lightening and thunder's cry.
No need to wonder or need to truly care,
only need to feel fulfilled, be glad your there.

There is such a radiant softness throughout this piece (or I should type peace). From the title to the last thought, you have created a perfect sense of harmony. Every sense has been satisfied and soothed by music through the trees, notes on wings of bumblebees. (lovely images and rhyme) Lights, rain falling touching the skin and tongue (I can imagine) and the smell of freshness in the air. Calming Waters is serenity. It is where I want to stay. Thanks so much for posting. :) kathy

It must be a night for storms, nature and its power. I read this shortly after writing The Conquering Rain. This is a beautiful piece and I soaked every stanza in. How I love storms, the beach and ocean and the effect they have on me. You've given me that feeling with your wonderfully crafted words.
