Safety Rope

There's nothing more to say -
Discussing feelings is so overrated.
You leave it all behind and breathe,
While climbing mountains on your own,
Without a safety rope at hand.

No one takes the first step,
As it would not change the outcome,
So the words and sentences go silent.
Maybe someday the memory will fade,
But for now the music is too loud.

And it hurts till the bone,
For your hands are tide up
And while you want to scream -
You keep on smiling.

Eternally happy,

Dreaming of fingers
Being pushed through mouth -
Bony and strange.

Everything was talked over -
Discussing feelings is so courageous.
You carry it all with you and breathe,
While crossing oceans on your own,
Without a safety rope at hand.

No one takes the first step,
As it could change the outcome forever,
So the quotes and images go silent.
Maybe someday you will remember all,
But for now you sail on your own,

Without a safety rope at hand.

The second line says so much, yet poetry is all about feelings. You describe yours very well.
