A morning muse on the need to look beyond the hectic frenetic demand that we stay in the "now" of social media

Tomorrow

I am at a loss
How can one deny
The fact of everafter

Is now so demanding
That tomorrow fades
To nothing in it's clamour

The raw and ignoble noise
That heralds the present
Cannot hide the precious
Gift of calm eternity
It's quiet relation

Raucous self-entitled now
Must always inevitably
Be vanquished by the
Sly ubiquitous stealth
Of tomorrow

I like thinking on these things. I live in today and hope for tomorrow, leaving me faith and with faith comes peace (calm).

some believe that the future is predictable, if so, what would make the difference with the past. we would be utterly determined to the moment of our death or maybe the future is but we aren't. to which extent goes the now? what are its borders?
