On the Eyre Peninsula many birds die because instinct on road traffic hasn't developed in them yet. "lyrics"

Oddball

the blacktop warms our feathers
and there's grain seeds by the road
we were rustlin’ in the sunshine
when the metal took your soul

as it was
for me

the bloodlines on the white lines
and the outlines of your shadow
one more pair of eyes
one more pair of wings

it’s how it was
for me

the wheels keep rolling by
and you don’t move a bone
guess it’s time to say goodbye
find another home

the bloodlines on the white lines
and the outlines of your shadow
this is my final memory
now I’m alone on the wire

it’s how it was
for me

nice curtains
aw......alone on the wire......that says so much about the ones that get skittled hey? Like the surviving lizard partner, and mother kangaroo who makes it over the road, but junior doesn't. No harmony between metal and nature in this instance.
