Numb

so quiet, so calm
my head, my world
so numb

where are you storm?
where are you lightning?
thunder?

I long for wind, for rain
at least a bracing breeze
to caress my cheek
my body, my soul.

no, not here
the air is still
so quiet, so calm
so numb

i love the questions about where are storm and thunder and lightning, but as a funny sidenote, it makes me think of that movie Rundown with the guy acting like he could fight. if you've ever seen it, hopefully you'll smile. if not, well, watch it. :) and whatever the case, nice poem. i rate it with a 5.
