northern light

~

here   low the sun   rising

an arcing dolphin

to be glimpsed   barely   then gone

here you are   rare   my distant one

to be glimpsed

here and gone   but oh

what a bright light   no ghost-sun you

an illumination

my northern light   rare and bright   an electric jolt

my skipping   stuttering   heart

racing onward

charged and charging   ever onward   heartened

by you   my distant   dearest one

my catherine wheel   my northern light

~

I love the easy feeling of nature
and desire in this piece; the surreal
imagery is like a quiet drawing
that gathers my imagination

Bravo Poet!

There is so much tenderness in this beautiful love letter. It's the kind that never gets mailed. It's the heart writing such comparisons as these. Heart makes the poetry. The Catherine Wheel has so many meanings--The lights, fireworks really, pain, virtue...

Truly moving.

The beauty of the Northern sky is newly appreciated in your words. Beautiful imagery that I saw before my eyes in your words, which I haven't seen in 12 years. Extremely beautiful writing in your so unique style.
