A Human Failure

Failure is just the beginning.
Ego flares
And I burns
in the flames of truth.
Another mask slips
Loose
Reserved now for a moment of choosing,
No longer masquerading,
Stripped of that stifling authority
granted by ego
Rendered impotent in the face of
one dimensionality.

Failure is just the beginning
granting room
for the deeper insight.
Don't you see
The difference now, between
The thought and the compulsion?
One fabricated,
A steel patchwork of safety
Netting.
One raw and wild,
Beating like a steady heart drum
Pumping life into your
Words
Worlds.
Winding not like clockwork but
Wending like a river
Or a seeking soul
Leaf blown
Tracing tide marks
And metals in the mud
Silt and chalk
Bloody earth maps
Runnels and hillocks
And out the corners of your
Eyes
Birds and beasts
And the wind calling
The trees whispering
The ocean lapping at your
Heart
The forest beckoning
The stars watching
The planets pulling
Watch and listen.
Thought be the tool
Not the engine master,
Be not the mirror of your
technology.
The machine is not your
God,
The computer not made in
your image.
Be human
Be human
Be -

Well done. Why do we cringe at the being human? Our flaws and failures rebuild us every day.

The stream of consciousness flows —

'Tracing tide marks
And metals in the mud
Silt and chalk
Bloody earth maps
Runnels and hillocks'

Very nice!
