If Only
The helpless regrets
That you can never
Put right.
The father who
Never told you
He loved you.
The mother who didn't
Dare to talk to you,
Too meek to face
Your arrogant scorn.
Your youth
When you only
Showed disdain,
To be oh so cool.
And now,
You're left with
So many "If only's"
And they can't
Hear you anymore.
