During Lockdown

During lockdown
I discovered
That none of my friends
Loved me...

During lockdown
I discovered
The power of
Family...

During lockdown
I ate no chocolate
And still lost
No weight...

During lockdown
I found
Solace.
I made peace
With my mortality.

During lockdown
I accepted fate.
Que sera, sera.
And being old
Didn't want
To bother the NHS.

During lockdown
My partner
Became
My lover
And my brother...

During lockdown
Boris partied
And the country cried...

A very worthy 'front page' accolade! I must confess to feeling ashamed and embarrassed that I did not read this fine poem before. It expresses so much that people can empathise with - unless you are Boris of course. ;) Brilliant. Well done.

Well expressed, Esti. It reads like whatever you were feeling was intensified by the isolation, and you found solace. All good.

Mostly good. Boris . . . Donald . . . Putin . . . Xi . . . Kim . . . friends . . .
