It talks about relationship dynamics.

Reflection

If I hold my tongue,
Sometimes even-my breath ,
Suitably Colour my thoughts ,
Smile when you talk ,
always in agreement,
Take the second place
Without regret, push
my own ambition
to the bin, respect
your Kith and kin
am blind to your flaws
adore you like a pet
grateful for every bone
you choose to grant
Am prepared to disappear
like I do!
I know you will love me,
only if I promise
to reflect you .

Lawrence Beck The PoetBay support member heart!
This is a very sad poem.

Dah
The easiness in flow and rhythm
makes this piece near-music, such a
lyrical verse.

I love the abstract configurations added
to this poem, like: "Suitably Colour my thoughts".

The promise to reflect somebody
is a rich journey.

Bravo Poet! ––))
