Phoenix
Chain me with yourThreats, stereotypes
Your dos and donts
Need to make me
a good wife
Strangle me with your
Masculinity, insecurities
Need to be right
Choke me with your denial,
Withdrawal ,
Rip me off my dignity'
for your petty pride.
Bury me in whichever hole
And I will come
gushing out.
I am not love anymore
Nor a part of your whole.
I am searing hot lava,
a Phoenix that rises
from the ashes.
Come, try me
Kill me again.
