Back here after a very long time


I'm sad

I'm sad
And I just want to be able to tell someone I'm sad and not need to talk about it
Just hug it out
Or cry it out
Or maybe go on a long drive and listen to sad music
And maybe somewhere along the way burst into song
And laugh at myself
And realise how silly it is to be sad in the first place.

Yes, very well said, this poem. Lovely thoughts. I am sad too sometimes and then just wear my smile, thinking good thoughts or laugh at pitiable condition, I find myself in. Or write and then words weave such a magic that I am soon out of the maze of sadness.

A good lament actually works sometimes. And your last stanza, about the sillyness of being sad actually picked me up (I was just before I read these words of yours feeling really sad.) Thank you for this one
