A deserted primative beach devoid of anyone but Jake and I

My Dog and I

We walked an empty beach today
In search of peace and a place to play
My dog and I

Once off the leash he lept for joy
He danced and capered a stick a toy
My dog and I

Not another soul to mar the walk
Through sand and tree falls as we talked
My dog and I

While sitting on a driftwood tree
Composing this in pensive ease
My dog and I

We thought of how this world would be
If only time would grant us leave
To merely live

My dog and I.
