a summer place

when she went to the high place

never thinking she knew what she

was about   she felt   this is

where i can look out   where there

is something more than me

in the distance there was a lake

far below as she was above the snow line

and clouds were drifting by

the kind one can reach out and touch

which she did   and wrote   later

of lassoing a cloud and dancing

with her until the aroma of the

campfire and food called her back

and she said thank you for the dance

the cloud rejoined   you never

need dance alone   i am never far away

One should never underestimate the potential of a cloud.

This took me away to so many places. It's an epic moment both metaphoric and poetic. The imagery is dream-like and vivid. It's a great poem!
