A deep Cove surrounded by soaring rock and trees. My home for tonight which I explore around it's rim

Georgian Bay Splendour

Cathedral light through a Black spruce grove
Mark the aspe of this ancient cove
The clerestory columned by ranks of pine
My vessel quiet in the nave

Cathedral light through a black spruce grove
I the gargoyle on a volcanic spire
Surveying the scene far below
Nature's Chartres rose window

Mark the aspe of this ancient Cove
As did passersby ions ago
For this scene was here in simple guise
Before cathedra I surmise

The clerestory columned by ranks of pine
Produce a Monet splendent light
That harlequins my vessel there
In jewelled array beyond compare

My vessel quiet in the nave
A pilgrim resting in repose
Awaits me there in prayerful pose
While I in awe to God disclose

Clear and beautiful imagery that feels so peaceful as seen from the rocking of the sea looking in. The perspective of looking at a building from a boat seems different than when seen from land. it becomes magical, and that is what I feel when I read this poem. Magic.

Such beauty and serenity in this piece, you convey your appreciation of your surroundings to the reader, I for one can almost sail on into this cove with you.
