Fugue for autumn

Willow weeps,
Ivy creeps,
Oak moans,
Larch groans,
Birch creaks,
Spruce speaks,
Holly hurts,
Elm spurts,
Ash coughs,
Man scoffs,
Saw grins,
Cull begins.
