Sadness
cowering in the corner,a youth of 6 years old,
witnesses the beating of,
her mother and is told...
"you will never tell of this you hear?
or you will lose daddy too!
and then where will my baby be?
an orphan at St. Jude!"
The little girl nodded frantically,
afraid she'd be hit too,
her mother laying on the floor,
blood dripping down her frame.
The next day mom had bruises,
and dad had a huge hangover,
the little girl was back at home,
her brother with his lover.
He was engaged to be married,
to the girl that he called Jane,
and the only person who knew of this,
was his little sister Elain.
He had made her swear her secrecy,
if dad found out he'd flip,
his mom would start to cry again,
and she would never quit.
When Bro arrived at home that night,
he swore when he walked in,
mother was knocked out on the couch,
dad was pounding some more beer.
He started yelling loudly,
the little girl began to sob,
and that is when the old man went,
and finally blew his top.
He punched bro hard, across the face,
and knee'd him in the gut,
he picked him up and threw him out,
our front door which was locked.
He hit the ground and curled up,
like a wounded dog in the wild,
he slowly got back to his feet,
and got into his car.
No one knew where he went that night,
but the next day police arrived,
they took daddies pills away,
and took them to a home of deprive.
They waited there till grand ma came,
and hugged them both to bits,
she sobbed to them that she was sorry,
for letting their dad do this.
The next week they went to their moms funeral,
a sad ending for their lives,
because some how their old man got out,
and slaughtered those poor five.
