The Man You Made of Me

I forgot,

I'm sorry Mom
You were right all along
I can't believe I made this mistake
Now I can actually relate

I forgot

To be strong when they are weak
To stay clean while they are dirty
To remain mature while they all play
To be mindful of their games

I was foolish,

This was not a joke
It was not some sort of scam,
It happened on a night that I
Forgot who I was.

I forgot,

That I am the man you made of me,
And life is worth so much more.
