A poem for my deceased dad, 17 years now
Along the lagoon in Elandsbay
By the river, by the waterfall
Along the coast, and on the sea sand
In my memory, You are still breathing
With my first fish on the line
My first fall with my bike
With arms around me
In my memory, You are still breathing
With thoughts of the emptiness, darkness
The open wound of my pain
With the bitter wine of your memory
In my memory, you are still breathing
In my past, is you
