The Company I Keep
I am cast in the shapes of yesterdayTo live a life today, bound in time
With the words of yesterday I speak
I try to survive the present
Chains are the actions of ghosts
That keeps the clock standing still
Dazed and confused I wonder
Along this trail of blood
Will I ever escape this hell
Of the company I keep
The internal narrator
With harsh words he speaks
Like salt in an open wound they burn
Repeated without mercy
They speak the fears I live
The spell a cannot break
