You sit in the smoke

You sit in the smoke
Of the smouldering fire
Refusing to move
You are sitting in the smoke!

Please, move!
Because the sky is blue
And the sun is shining
The smoke, its blinding you!

Your eyes, watery
From the smoke
You cough
From the smoke!

Coughing your past
Your pain
You are crying your past
The smoke is suffocating you!!

You sit in the smoke
Of the smouldering fire
Please, please move,
Because I love you!

Often those "sitting in the smoke" cannot understand why you do not join them.

Saving the ones you love who don't want to be saved makes a strong poetic theme.

Jamsbo Rockda The PoetBay support member heart!
Great controlled metaphor. We all have our own smoke.

The truest passion comes when trying to save the one we love from harm. Here you have demonstrated it so well.

This is a very intriguing poem. Someone refuses to see what is there to see. I like it very much. Well done!
