Chains Of Belonging
I am capturedBetween walls of longing
With
Ghosts as gatekeepers graciously haunting
the hollow shell
I am visited by strangers from the past
Dressed in desperate attire for the feast at last
Where the beast within the hills will fall once more
Mockingly tortured just as I adore
The moon in all her glory
Completes the affair with a vampire kissed cloud
Drifting away in misery
For the stench of rotten souls are too loud
And the sight of these horrid faces too bright
For the eyes of a noble knight
Awarded with medals engraved in the heart's gold
She will return to the ruins and unfold
The kingdom that is her dreams are befallen with angels
Mighty and courageous their wings ablaze
Their swords sharpened with hope
She is taking back her land and power
To save her soul trapped in the mind's tower.
