A tanka about the rewards of falling helplessly in love.

An observation from my past.

Fear To tread by M.A.Meddings

You may never find
The soft voice of perfect love
If you fear to tread
Into the labrynthal silk
Of the lovely spiders web

love is a scary journey especially when we are not sure what we face. The entanglements and then the bite! Is it worth it all?
I love these 2 lines:
"Into the labrynthal silk
Of the lovely spiders web"
Beauty and the Beast right before my eyes.
Love and Pain, Darkness and Light. The beautify of Fire, the colors, the dance and yet it destroys. You have brought so many thoughts to my mind with this beautiful and very truthfilled Tanka. Kathy

Right now i'm prone to believe that perfect love can be put into the same category as gods:
Things that are very unlikely to exist but that we want to cling to anyway.
In spite of this, hero, I find your poem just as beautiful as your poems always are.
