The Lion and the Ant by Ann Wood
Every day, the little ant arrived early in the workplace and started working. She was making and was pleased. The boss, the Lion, was surprised that the ant worked unattended."If it produces so unpredictable, could it not produce more if supervised?" He thought.
So he hired a Cockroach, who had great experience as a supervisor, and he was doing great reports.
The first solution of the cockroach was to introduce access control for Ants. Then, for her cockroach, she needed a secretary to assist her in drafting the reports, and she hired a Spider who, apart from the archives, was also involved in controlling telephone conversations. The lion was fascinated by the Cockroach reports and asked her about production charts and trend analysis to present them at meetings specifically organized for this purpose. For this purpose, her cockroach bought a computer, a laser printer, and a fly was hired to head the Department of Informatics.
The ant, once productive and cheerful, was desperate for so many papers and meetings that took her all the time! The Leo concluded that the time had come to create the position of a man in charge of the sector where Ants was working. The post was entrusted to a Stuart whose first decision was to buy a rug and an ergonomic chair for his desk. The new officer, the Stuart, also needed a computer and an assistant (taken from his front office) to help him prepare the strategic plan to optimize work and control the budget for the sector where the Ant has worked, which at this stage is no longer was having fun, and he was getting angry every day.
At the same time, the Stuart convinced Leo of the absolute necessity of exploring the environment. After exploring the workload, the Lion noticed that the Ant was not producing any more than before. He hired an owl, a renowned consultant, to carry out an audit and propose solutions. The owl spent three months at the offices and made a huge report in several volumes, concluding: "There is a lot of staff in this business."
Guess first who fired the Lion?
The ant, naturally, because she "manifests a lack of motivation and conflict behavior".
