Swinging gently in my hammock on the stern deck of Odissea, our Ketch, daydreaming...

Suspended Animation

Lazy day and speckled water
With a wandering curious mind
There is nothing I am seeking after
This afternoon of a gentle kind

My hammock swings mast to stern
It's motions from wind's come and go
I rock in time to nature's churn
My self submerged in Zephyr's flow

Suspended in this rolling air
I question whether time's expanse
Pertains to this ethereal faire
This quiet moment of timeless trance

Well done. I'd say that the trance is timeless. Unfortunately, when you come out of it, you'll be forced to play catch-up.

Well said Josephus & Ashe.

Your last stanza makes one think about a time when life is appreciated for just what it is. The poem is all peace and contentment. A real beauty.
