"Wheel of Life and Death"

I.

Birth, death, and rebirth
through the epochs of mankind;
one generation
creates the next in endless
new cycles of life and death.


II.

I have no offspring,
no generations to leave;
so I offer this,
this poem and my poesy,
to the wheel of life and death.

Your poem gives me a hint of the Buddhist concept of Nirvana, a state where a person is released from the effects of karma and the cycle of death and rebirth. Maybe you too are willing to get out of the cycle with the help of your poetry and poesy. Just a thought!
