I still am looking for you my Friend by Ann Wood

I still am looking for you my Friend,
when it tightens my shoes,
when I dare pretend, I laugh,
and the cricket in my soul shouts.

When I'm sick of these
with false words and feelings,
when it's cold outside,
but inside is empty and deserted.

I'm always looking for you,my friend
for the tired ship port.
To patch my sails.
You cuddle me on your shoulder.

And there's no need for me to pretend
that I am better and more beautiful.
You always accept me, for who I am
even when you do not understand me.

Your quiet presence
is like the water from the spring,
where we all seek for life,
but only the chosen ones find it.
