Largo Tranquillo

Quiet falls like a welcome aire
No wind to mar the evening sounds
The sun has left its heat in tow
The earth a gentle calm largo

My water home is moving just
A subtle motion barely there
A vessel alive but muted now
In response to evenings pause

Times as these are rare indeed
When evening matches natures mood
I cherish concerti such as these
Harmony the essence of the score

I agree with Tom. The tranquility of the evening is conveyed, not just by what you wrote, but also by how you wrote.

You convey the scene beautifully. And the cadence of the poem is as gentle as it should be.
