For years now I've lived aboard various vessels.

Motion

How will I ever live without motion
My live exists within water's thrall

Ever moving ever changing a primordial
essence that has birthed The world

I've felt her calm breasts rise and fall
under Tropic sun and cloudless days

I've cowered as her rage tossed waves
Sheared their tops in obsidian righteousness

I've prayed as horizontal sleet and spume
Has hammered my flimsy cockleshell

I've rested in rippled peace knowing
Innocently I was spared once more
