Memories
Memories
like a brooding dog
sit beside me quietly
I shoo it away
But won't go anywhere
To scratch the wounds
Dark and deep
To open the bare bones
To reveal the caged soul
Dear! O dear!
Don't you see
What have you done to me
What have I done to you
Why the heart is too cold?
To feel anything
To watch the world burn
without shedding a drop of tear
And the silent moon
Freezing heart
Trembling hands
And the knees too weak to stand
Lifeless corpse floating on the sea
Is it too much to ask?
I can't bear the weight
Will you take back?
The broken hopes
The shattered dreams.
