an angel

when i was young and foolish   as

opposed to now and

foolish   i fell back into the mid

night snow   made a snow-angel for

my love   she

laughed   a good kind of

laugh   i shouted to the stars   i love

you   and i did   if this

were a certain kind of metaphor   i would

say the snow melted   as did our love   this

is another kind of

metaphor   the snow never melted    it fell and

fell and fell until it covered the whole wide

world   and she is still my angel

Such a beautiful poem, full with love, joy and happiness. Well done Jim.

This is magical. It starts with so much joy and carefree innocent love, and it slowly changed like all things in life. But the metaphors are lovely and so are the images. You made me want to make snow angels again. *

I like the cinematic feel of the poem.
