Thoughts On Flights

I hold a small
Simple thing

A wood screw
One of hundreds
from the box
To be used without thought
To fashion something
Much more grand

Archimedes
Would be pleased
To know how
Fundamental
His concept was
To the benefit
Of us all.

From spiral staircase
To the lowly screw
From pump to prop
From fan to foil
He is the father of them all

Elegance in a small package.

I'm referring to the screw, and the poem.

He sure is, beautifully portrayed, amazing if you ponder on it which you obviously have with a great result.

"Give me a fulcrum on which to rest and I shall move the world." Enjoyed this poem. The short lines work well, firm rhythm, pacing, etc.
