a poem about the dreams romantics often dream

Just Before The Silent Dawn by M.A.Meddings

last night In the lone hours
Just before the silent dawn
I dreamed a wondrous dream of her
And momentarily found
Within her heart
A space where I might l live
A small place for always
then as I awakened
I found my joy
In just knowing her

Very beautiful expressed. The paradox of sadness and the light of joy in this feeling when dream meets reality.

now that is how dreams should end--with a beginning! This is a dream come true tale. Just to awake and have you dream lover lying next to you. What a romantic and loved-filled piece this is. :) kathy

My! my! my! the dreams that thou dost dream in the wee hours of the morn...
Poor damsel must tossing and turning
in her bed; Or just hick-upping because
You think of her at such an unearthly hour....
My dear Mike, either thou art in trouble,
Or soon to be rewarded with,
Shall we say a kiss?

Romantic hero! How could there not be, within this lady's heart, a place that is all yours?
