Starry Night
On a hot Summer's nightI escaped to my roof
To the bright moonlight
And saw a beautiful sight
A grey moon with white stars
Like a king with his vast army
Stood in form, rank and order
Wielding pointed Spears of light
It was defeaning to my eyes
As I was from a darker place
Where reality haunts one
Now in a blissfull bright world
I could hear the moon say,
"O, fellow human, you have
Come across the lands of heaven
And you shall not enter"
Thus I cried in return,
"My dearest king of Kings
Shall you not help me escape
From the terrible pit I come"
And then we sparred on and on
With flattery and faults we went on
An unseemly sight of madness
Would a common man percieve
But in a true poet's eyes
It was a prose in itself
Oh, if Keats were alive
He would have joined himself
But soon the night ceased to be
And then I watched the stars
Fade fade fade away
To the lands of Gods far away
