I like the way you make comparisons between Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring" to the blonde in faded denim. The apparent clash between lifeless art and life-throbbing-with-sensuality is pretty visible.

i like this a lot. the apparent change of subject in the closing couplet. it all fits, and beautifully. and i was thinking of the girl with the pearl earring earlier this week! (eye doctor was wearing a pearl earring.)
