Sort of a follow up to my previous poem "Power"
I ask her as we stand among the ash and ice of other people
Her glowing eyes meet mine
her warmth a fire and terrible power I cannot resist
I fall to my knees in submission as her words ring within me
"Seek the dying spark of compassion within others
Reach out and gently channel love and warmth to into those glowing embers
nurture and love until
their flames can sustain themselves"

Burn
How do I find kinship, warmth, safety and people I can trust?I ask her as we stand among the ash and ice of other people
Her glowing eyes meet mine
her warmth a fire and terrible power I cannot resist
I fall to my knees in submission as her words ring within me
"Seek the dying spark of compassion within others
Reach out and gently channel love and warmth to into those glowing embers
nurture and love until
their flames can sustain themselves"
