Serenade betrayed
Midnight moonlight serenade
Our passionate love our parents forbade
But my heart you betrayed
And now tears fall in an endless cascade.
You disappeared with any
goodbye
Leaving me wanting to die
and forever wondering why
Was there secretly another
was I not your only lover
Questions without any answer
You were quite the gentle romancer
My love for you was true
Although I'm left heartbroken and blue
I'd still run back to you
I still feel your kiss on my lips like a ghost
But you just disappeared and I think that's what hurts the most
