The love of little boy who loss his mom and baby sister in car crash by Ann Wood
Oh my God, my heart .....I was in a mall when I saw a cashier talking to a boy, as discussed in the following. At 5 or 6 years old ...
The cashier said, "I'm sorry, but you don't have enough money to buy this doll."
The boy turned to the cashier and asked, "Are you sure I don't have enough money?"
The cashier counted the money one more time and replied, "You know you don't have enough money to buy the doll." The boy was still holding the doll in his hand.
I looked at him and asked him who he wanted to give this doll to.
"This is the doll my sister loved and desperately wanted. I wanted to give it to her for her birthday. I have to give my mom a doll so she can give it to my sister when she goes there."
His eyes were so sad when he said that.
"My sister went to god ... Daddy says my mom will see God soon too, so I thought she might take the doll to give it to my sister ..."
My heart almost stopped beating. The boy looked at me and said, "I told Daddy to tell Mom not to leave. She has to wait until I get back from the mall."
Then he showed me a very nice photo of him laughing. "I want my mom to take my picture to my sister so she doesn't forget me. I love my mom and I wish she didn't leave me, but my dad says he needs to be with my little sister." Then he looked back at the doll with sad eyes and became very quiet.
I quickly picked up my wallet and told the boy
"We'll check again if you have enough money for the doll."
"OK," he said:
"I hope there is"
I had added some of my coins without him seeing them and we started counting the money. It was enough for the doll and even a few cents more.
The boy said, "Thank God you gave me enough money!"
Then he looked at me and added, "Last night I prayed before my mother went to God that I had enough money to buy this doll so Mom could give it to my sister. He heard me! And I wanted enough money to I buy a white rose for my mother, but I didn't dare ask God for so much. But he gave me enough to buy a doll and a white rose. My mother loves white roses. "
I left the mall, but I couldn't get the boy out of my head.
I remembered a two-day article in a local newspaper that reported a drunk truck driver crashing into a car involving a young woman and a little girl. The baby died immediately and the mother was in a critical condition. The family had to decide whether to turn off the life support machine because the young woman would never recover from a coma. Was that the boy's family?
Two days after meeting the boy, I read in the newspaper that the young woman had died. I couldn't help but buy a bouquet of white roses and go to a church where the young woman's body was placed, where people could say goodbye before her funeral.
She was lying there in the casket with a beautiful white rose and a picture of the boy and the doll. With tears in my eyes, I realized that my life had changed forever ...
The love the boy has for his mother and sister is still hard to imagine today.
And in a split second, the drunk driver took all that away.
Please do not drink if you are driving. Your actions can change your life forever. But also someone else's life that has nothing to do with your difficulties.
