this poem is about my daughter Victoria who is 13 yrs. old.
She and I have been all we have since her dad died in 94 when
Victoria was 16 months old.

You Bring Me Joy

Your love has been my strength it has brought me
joy during times of sorrow,
Your smile and sweet words
brought me promise for tomorrow.
Too young to understand why a great man
had to leave,
You'd wipe away my tears,
and hug me when I'd grieve.
Precious little hands would gently hold
my face,
You felt the void as well,
things were not in place.
You'd stare into my eyes as I 'd explain
daddy's goodbye,
Then you'd go outside and look
up to the sky
With words only you understood
you'd tell daddy how you felt,
I'd watch you through the
screen door and my heart
would slowly melt.
We have overcome many hurdles
within the last years,
We have known pain and laughter and
have wiped eachothers tears,
Victoria you bring me joy,
my life with you is blessed,
God didn't just send me an angel
but one of his very best .
