i talked to colin's grandfather
on the phone last night
he said be strong you can do this what
did we talk about last winter remember
inner-strength self-
reliance resilience you have it in you
find it exercise it then he said sleep well
i love you it about
bowled me over hearing those words
from this reticent man
truly
a sign of the times i did sleep well
i'm like a child with a new toy something
i didn't even know i wanted
