Wild flowers

Here we lie, entwined.
In the dirt.
Embedded in the earth,
safe from hurt.
The weeds and vines crawl through our hearts,
flowers bloom from our eyes.
Dandelions spring from our lips,
in each kiss my only wish.
Petals drift on each breath,
the forget-me-nots in each touch;
I clutch.
Leave them to dry,
to keep them on a mantle in my mind.

Love the flower imagery and all the details. The poem as a whole is beautifully done. :)
