memories of a summer love
in the shade of the summer cottage
on the duney sand and sparse grass
we lie and kiss in the heat of day
you in your yellow two-piece me
in my ragged cut-offs it is warm
and we are ecstatic in each other
and the sensational quivering
we are inducing all under the open
sky with your mother inside sipping
her first of the day never has fabric
offered less resistance or a clapboard
house more shelter never have two
teens been so blessed with fortune
as on this hot summer day in the shade
