A sonnet I wrote for english class.
Your grip still tight with every step I take.
You think I am fearing sudden death,
But Death would save be from this constant ache.
You, in every face that I can see
Or behind me everywhere I walk
You've taken everything but life from me
The key to my heart left it unlocked
One of us can't live without the other,
But still I struggle to break these bonds you've made.
And if I could just try and find another
In my mind you would always stay.
And looking in the mirror it is true
That I will always see myself in you.

Lilith's Sonnet
Running away with ragged pulse and breathYour grip still tight with every step I take.
