We all have our differences that identify us to others. When those differences become a weapon of hate, we really do need to take a closer look at ourselves... A little piece of doggerel.

Viva La Difference - Hell no!

I'm wearing a green shirt
But you're wearing blue
You should change the colour
It's not all about you!

Your house has a garden
My condo' does not
You think you're superior
Because of all that you've got

Your skin tone is different
That's not accepted by me
But that's the shackle that binds
In this land of the free

I see not the person
But the difference displayed
My mind is so narrowed
It may leave you dismayed

To be who you want to
Is the ultimate dream
But prejudice prevails
If you're not part of MY team

No matter the reasons
Fault will soon be found
No pointing the finger
Just look around

For we are surrounded
by hatred and greed
It's our own self awareness
That lets our prejudice breed

one trick pony The PoetBay support member heart!
Doggerel perhaps, but well expressed and sadly true.
