Sapphire blue

My love is like a sinking ship,
a beast that howl's in the night.
My heart a cemetery, a candid place to hide.
Small footsteps creep, as I sleep, knock on my bedroom door, I call, but no answer.
The rain spits in my face, I stand til it turns to waves, I stay, waiting.
I would have drowned happily,
the waters like sapphires
deep, dark, blue;
bruised.
