I work outdoors most of the time but am obliged to spend on full day in the office to complete records etc. and interact with colleagues (in house training days). I don't mind it but I much prefer the open countryside :(

A shackled freedom...

Lunchtime and the drone of converstations

Blights the background of my thoughts

The digitized paperwork still calls to me

Through the medium of a blinking cursor

I am a child of the great outdoors

Shackled by the seat of learning - at times

In stagnant lecture theatres, I sat

Absorbing the lesson through a windows view

To a degree, the Degree that I achieved

Is my passport to natures charms

Fully qualified I now wander these lands

A nodding aquaintance to its creations

But work has a knack of reeling you in

Supporting agenda's that make you office bound

Tasks, endless it seems, that must be done

Until at last I am "home" on familiar ground.

Liam. You have my dream job. Paperwork seems an intolerable duty on such office days, ironically, usually the sunniest of days.
