Note to Self
Time irrevocably passing
Better to learn what night is about
Sleep as briefly as possible
Become intimate with stars
Know Mars, Venus, Saturn, Jupiter
Know the moon and its phases
Engage in the conversation of night
The owls, the coyotes, appreciate the undefined
Walk in moonlight, without color, walk in darkness
When the moon has waned, or clouds obscure
Be afraid, it is natural to be
Be unafraid, nothing could be more natural
Than the end of day, the sun removed
The night sky vast, magnificent
Or utterly devoid of light
Of the familiar
Embrace solitude, know solitude
Is a state of mind, alone an illusion
