Pea2

We are humble peas from Peru
Popping many,many miles for you,
Our podcast is global,
Our purpose is noble,
But we have a bad press,
They say we cause distress
With our carbon footprint,
A marathon not a sprint,
Say the green, green gurus
Who can afford to pick and choose;
But the reason we travel miles
Is not for the hypocrites' smiles -
No, we do it for the poor of Peru
Who tend us in fields of ancient dew,
Tenderly picked and packed al fresco
For Walmart, M&S and Tesco.

So please, our journey is not obscene
For we feed our folk with dollars green.

The "al fresco/ Tesco" rhyme is pleasantly Byronic! I enjoyed the poem throughout.
