Reading a text of Mr Williams. I was reminded of the Scottish Poet Rabbie Burns and how he would write poems to a single entity. E.G. a Mouse, a louse or indeed, a haggis. My offering.

To a Cat...

Such condascending looks you give

To those who venture near your throne

Submissive to your every whim

In our efforts to atone

For in our ancestors may lie the blame

And this our conscience prods

That in ancient times it can be said

Ours worshipped yours as Gods!

There’s no doubt that cats own you. Nicely written, Liam

Dear Liam,

I think Burns would have liked your witty homage to our feline fiends, sorry, I meant friends.

Best fishy dishes, sorry, I meant best festive wishes,

Chris

Cats - the only wild animal that tamed us. Make our abode there homes. For as long as us & their abode suites them. Till one day at their chooseing may remain or move on. Such as & are domesticated home cats.
