Lately I've heard this phrase being employed by people whom I had previously thought had sufficient command of language to at least put together a simple sentence of apology rather than speak like a four year old.

My Bad

"My bad" the handsome woman said

business heeled executive coiffed

error acknowledged forgiveness asked

A zero sum no fault implied

her choice of phrase condemned her though

to adolescent or prepubescent mind

diminishing the fault and assuming zero

import to those she addressed in kind

how adult instead to express contrition

"my apologies to all for I have errored

may I move on with your permission"

Her dignity intact her integrity restored
